Stat. § 69-2111","body":"(1) A renegotiation shall be deemed to occur when an existing consumer rental purchase agreement is satisfied and replaced by a new agreement undertaken by the same consumer. A renegotiation shall be considered a new agreement requiring new disclosures. Renegotiation shall not include:\n\n(a) The addition or return of property in a multiple-item agreement or the substitution of leased property if in either case the average payment allocable to a payment period is not changed by more than twenty-five percent;\n\n(b) Deferral or extension of one or more periodic payments or portions of a periodic payment;\n\n(c) A reduction in charges in the agreement;\n\n(d) An agreement involving a court proceeding; and\n\n(e) Any other event described in rules and regulations adopted and promulgated by the department.\n\n(2) No disclosures shall be required for any extension of a consumer rental purchase agreement.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 69"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=69-2111","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"02b79add9ed4ccd28091ef9ae4247a4dc2190816c9584e2e9ca5abe3a986a2c3","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-69-2110","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-69-2112"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
