Stat. § 71-2514","body":"The Legislature hereby finds and declares that:\n\n(1) Childhood environmental lead poisoning constitutes a serious threat to the public health of the children of this state and the identification, treatment, and prevention of childhood environmental lead poisoning is a goal of the people;\n\n(2) The effectiveness of distinguishing and abating lead hazards in the environment and thereby providing a safer environment to prevent childhood lead poisoning has been well documented;\n\n(3) Childhood environmental lead poisoning prevention programs have had a tremendous impact on reducing the occurrence of lead poisoning in the United States;\n\n(4) The United States Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health Service, has as its Healthy People 2000 objective the identification, treatment, and reduction of childhood environmental lead poisoning; and\n\n(5) There is a national effort to institute environmental lead hazard awareness action plan programs and to provide funds to implement the Healthy People 2000 objective.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 71"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=71-2514","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"c2d50314ccbb48e8f1afa3a74f7881e75fa51e0317234d3c217facc436f0b268","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-71-2513","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-71-2515"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
