Stat. § 71-4739","body":"(1) Every birthing facility shall annually report to the Department of Health and Human Services the number of:\n\n(a) Newborns born;\n\n(b) Newborns and infants recommended for a hearing screening test;\n\n(c) Newborns who received a hearing screening test during birth admission;\n\n(d) Newborns who passed a hearing screening test during birth admission if administered;\n\n(e) Newborns who did not pass a hearing screening test during birth admission if administered; and\n\n(f) Newborns recommended for monitoring, intervention, and followup care.\n\n(2) Every confirmatory testing facility shall annually report to the Department of Health and Human Services the number of:\n\n(a) Newborns and infants who return for a followup hearing test;\n\n(b) Newborns and infants who do not have a hearing loss based upon the followup hearing test; and\n\n(c) Newborns and infants who are shown to have a hearing loss based upon the followup hearing test.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 71"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=71-4739","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"57f1ae4c1f6f94003a2eec4f876caade4d3b7197a982fff6978d271ac6da2595","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-71-4738","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-71-474"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
