Stat. § 71-560","body":"(1) If a newborn infant fails a hearing screening test as provided in section 71-4742 , the birthing facility performing such screening may provide to the parents of the newborn infant the following information:\n\n(a) Potential birth defects caused by congenital cytomegalovirus;\n\n(b) Testing opportunities for cytomegalovirus, including the opportunity to test for cytomegalovirus prior to the infant's discharge from the hospital or birthing facility; and\n\n(c) Early intervention services.\n\n(2) The informational material published under section 71-558 , and such additional clarifying information as required by the parents, may be provided to the parents at the newborn infant's follow-up audiology appointment.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 71"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=71-560","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"5bab5fc7b284ba35805558f4eb7be94baec8315012728b4584e41d450c5b3fe6","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-71-559","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-71-561"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
