Stat. § 71-7910","body":"(1) Peer review committee means a utilization review committee, quality assessment committee, performance improvement committee, tissue committee, credentialing committee, or other committee established by a professional health care service entity or by the governing board of a facility which is a health care provider that does either of the following:\n\n(a) Conducts professional credentialing or quality review activities involving the competence of, professional conduct of, or quality of care provided by a health care provider, including both an individual who provides health care and an entity that provides health care; or\n\n(b) Conducts any other attendant hearing process initiated as a result of a peer review committee's recommendations or actions.\n\n(2) To conduct peer review pursuant to the Health Care Quality Improvement Act, a professional health care service entity shall adopt and adhere to written policies and procedures governing the peer review committee of the professional health care service entity.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 71"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=71-7910","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"d5ef92bacb4b848327eb7389699153f3e3a8403843814f0bdcd4d7aaf5b49868","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-71-7909","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-71-7910.01"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
