Stat. § 75-386","body":"The Division of Motor Carrier Services shall:\n\n(1) Foster, promote, and preserve the motor carrier industry of the State of Nebraska;\n\n(2) Protect and promote the public health and welfare of the citizens of the state by ensuring that the motor carrier industry is operated in an efficient and safe manner;\n\n(3) Promote and provide for efficient and uniform governmental oversight of the motor carrier industry;\n\n(4) Promote financial responsibility on the part of motor carriers operating in and through the State of Nebraska;\n\n(5) Administer all provisions of the International Fuel Tax Agreement Act, the International Registration Plan Act, and the unified carrier registration plan and agreement pursuant to sections 75-392 to 75-3,100 ;\n\n(6) Provide for the issuance of certificates of title to apportioned registered motor vehicles as provided for by subsection (6) of section 60-144 ; and\n\n(7) Carry out such other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Legislature.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 75"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=75-386","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"20d5036d90b351cbfa3374012af4c2dd38e484cbb3d8acf5a95825f7025b8dfa","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-75-385","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-75-389"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
