Stat. § 76-3414","heading":"Effect of transfer on death deed during transferor's life.","body":"During a transferor's life, a transfer on death deed does not:\n(1) Affect an interest or right of the transferor or any other owner, including the right to transfer or encumber the property;\n(2) Affect an interest or right of a transferee, even if the transferee has actual or constructive notice of the deed;\n(3) Affect an interest or right of a secured or unsecured creditor or future creditor of the transferor, even if the creditor has actual or constructive notice of the deed;\n(4) Affect the transferor's or designated beneficiary's eligibility for any form of public assistance except to the extent provided in section 76-3421;\n(5) Create a legal or equitable interest in favor of the designated beneficiary; or\n(6) Subject the property to claims or process of a creditor of the designated beneficiary.","path":["Chapter 76 - REAL PROPERTY"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=76-3414","current_through":"Laws 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T21:01:11Z","sha256":"d89d45151b830c16b1570de2d5c32ef6319c8658804ad9a034636922d0e92d42","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-76-3413","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-76-3415"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
