Stat. § 8-1705","body":"(1) Commodity shall mean, except as otherwise specified by the director by rule, regulation, or order:\n\n(a) Any agricultural, grain, or livestock product or byproduct;\n\n(b) Any metal or mineral, including a precious metal;\n\n(c) Any gem or gemstone, whether characterized as precious, semi-precious, or otherwise;\n\n(d) Any fuel, whether liquid, gaseous, or otherwise;\n\n(e) Any foreign currency; and\n\n(f) All other goods, articles, products, or items of any kind.\n\n(2) Commodity shall not include:\n\n(a) A numismatic coin, the fair market value of which is at least fifteen percent higher than the value of the metal it contains;\n\n(b) Real property or any timber, agricultural, or livestock product grown or raised on real property and offered or sold by the owner or lessee of such real property; or\n\n(c) Any work of art offered or sold by art dealers at public auction or offered or sold through a private sale by the owner of such work.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 8"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=8-1705","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"979157bc57213506e7cc3abc7e10ee874576225e31332cbf1254ac7b4578175b","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-8-1704","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-8-1706"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
