Stat. § 84-906.02","heading":"Public comments; notice; agency; powers and duties.","body":"(1) In addition to seeking information by other methods and before publication of a notice under section 84-907, an agency is encouraged to and may solicit comments from the public on a subject matter of possible rule or regulation making by causing notice to be published in a newspaper of general circulation of the subject matter and indicating where, when, and how persons may comment.\n(2) When considering the proposal or adoption of a rule or regulation, an agency shall:\n(a) Allow any person to submit comments or written materials or other documentation in support or opposition to such proposal or adoption;\n(b) Allow for such submission to be accomplished electronically or by mail; and\n(c) Not require a person wishing to make such a submission to travel to any particular location.","path":["Chapter 84 - STATE OFFICERS"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=84-906.02","current_through":"Laws 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T21:01:11Z","sha256":"f2a8064a56018899092e3d1163672bce3e09c80d120aecad93c4f68ae5b165ec","source_id":"us-ne","stale":true,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-84-906.01","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-84-906.03"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
