Stat. § 85-2008","heading":"Community college gap assistance; recipient; duties; termination of assistance; when.","body":"(1) A recipient of community college gap assistance under the community college gap assistance program shall:\n(a) Maintain regular contact with faculty of the eligible program to document the applicant's progress in the program;\n(b) Sign any necessary releases to provide relevant information to case managers or faculty of the community college or other eligible institution, if applicable;\n(c) Discuss with faculty of the eligible program any issues that may affect the recipient's ability to complete the eligible program and obtain and maintain employment;\n(d) Attend all required courses regularly; and\n(e) Meet with faculty of the eligible program to develop a job-search plan.\n(2) A community college or other eligible institution may terminate community college gap assistance under the community college gap assistance program for a recipient who fails to meet the requirements of this section.","path":["Chapter 85 - STATE UNIVERSITY, STATE COLLEGES, AND POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=85-2008","current_through":"Laws 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T21:01:11Z","sha256":"c5d6e5211b8db8f98613a30f6918d1ed8286ce8c2a9de76fec95210ef0f4f454","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-85-2007","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-85-2009"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
