Stat. § 87-208","heading":"Terms, defined.","body":"As used in sections 87-208 to 87-219.01, unless the context otherwise requires:\n(1) Applicant means a person filing an application for registration of a trade name under such sections or his or her legal representatives, successors, or assigns;\n(2) Person means an individual, corporation, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, limited liability company, unincorporated association, or two or more of the foregoing having a joint or common interest or any other legal or commercial entity;\n(3) Registrant means a person to whom registration of a trade name under such sections is issued or his or her legal representatives, successors, or assigns; and\n(4) Trade name means every name under which any person does or transacts any business in this state other than the true name of such person.","path":["Chapter 87 - TRADE PRACTICES"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=87-208","current_through":"Laws 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T21:01:11Z","sha256":"df34f1e0bdb297f38b09f35ce2ef79e0a0a85c50abff3fea4e68c917e0156ef9","source_id":"us-ne","stale":true,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-87-207","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-87-209"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
