{"data":{"id":"us-nh/rsa-106-j-3","jurisdiction":"us-nh","citation":"RSA 106-J:3","heading":"Definitions.","body":"In this subdivision:\nI. \"Caregiver\" means any individual duly designated as a caregiver for a person who needs care assistance as a vulnerable adult. A caregiver includes, but is not limited to, a relative, paid caregiving professional, partner, friend, or neighbor who has a significant relationship with the person.\nII. \"Department\" means the department of safety.\nIII. \"Missing vulnerable adult\" includes, but is not limited to, a missing adult who:\n(a)(1) Is 18 years or older;\n(2) Whose whereabouts are unknown;\n(3) Whose last known whereabouts at the time he or she is reported missing is in New Hampshire; and\n(4) Whose disappearance poses a credible threat to the safety and health of the person, as determined by a local law enforcement agency; and\n(b)(1) Who has a mental or cognitive disability, such as dementia;\n(2) Who has an intellectual or developmental disability;\n(3) Who has a brain injury; or\n(4) Who has another physical, mental, or emotional disability.","path":["Title VII: SHERIFFS, CONSTABLES, AND POLICE OFFICERS","Chapter 106-J: MISSING ADULT PROGRAM AND MISSING VULNERABLE ADULT ALERT PROGRAM","Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert Program"],"source_url":"https://gc.nh.gov/rsa/html/VII/106-J/106-J-3.htm","current_through":"2025 regular legislative session, or December 2025","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T12:58:37Z","sha256":"f78d6d58b7aed4ee302bcb3d76945c28691a0c8fc6ecf52e0ebf22a404eb6841","source_id":"us-nh","stale":false,"prev":"us-nh/rsa-106-j-2","next":"us-nh/rsa-106-j-4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
