An applicant for initial APRN licensure shall:\n(a) Hold a current license as a registered nurse;\n(b) Have graduated with a graduate degree earned in an accredited advanced practice registered nurse education program or have graduated before July 1, 2004 from an APRN education program accredited by a national accrediting body;\n(c) Be currently certified by a board-recognized national certifying body in the specialty for which the applicant was educated; and\n(d) Meet other criteria as established by the board.\nII.
