{"data":{"id":"us-nh/rsa-420-m-2","jurisdiction":"us-nh","citation":"RSA 420-M:2","heading":"Definitions.","body":"In this chapter:\nI. \"Commissioner\" means the insurance commissioner.\nII. \"Eligible dependents\" means \"eligible dependents\" as defined in RSA 420-G:2, V.\nIII. \"Eligible employee\" means \"eligible employee\" as defined in RSA 420-G:2, VI.\nIV. \"Employee enrollee\" means an eligible employee, self-employed individual, or an eligible dependent of an eligible employee who is enrolled in a health benefit plan offered through an alliance by a participating carrier.\nV. \"Health benefit plan\" means \"health coverage\" as defined in RSA 420-G:2, IX.\nVI. \"Health carrier\" or \"carrier\" means \"health carrier\" as defined in RSA 420-G:2, VIII.\nVII. \"Member employer\" means an employer who enrolls in an alliance.\nVIII. \"Participating carrier\" means a carrier that contracts with the alliance.\nIX. \"Purchasing alliance\" or \"alliance\" means a non-risk bearing corporation or other entity licensed pursuant to RSA 420-G:10-a that provides health insurance coverage to member employers and their employees.\nX. \"Qualified purchasing alliance\" means a purchasing alliance that has obtained certification from the commissioner under RSA 420-M:13 as a qualified purchasing alliance with authority to operate in the same manner as a qualified association trust pursuant to RSA 420-G:10.\nXI. \"Small employer\" means \"small employer\" as defined in RSA 420-G:2, XVI.","path":["Title XXXVII: INSURANCE","Chapter 420-M: PURCHASING ALLIANCES"],"source_url":"https://gc.nh.gov/rsa/html/XXXVII/420-M/420-M-2.htm","current_through":"2025 regular legislative session, or December 2025","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T16:13:19Z","sha256":"57f10ece8f705807ac0d35946c83a4c35e468bc329bf6c157c395e12bb99bc0c","source_id":"us-nh","stale":false,"prev":"us-nh/rsa-420-m-1","next":"us-nh/rsa-420-m-3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
