{"data":{"id":"us-nh/rsa-564-f-21-2101","jurisdiction":"us-nh","citation":"RSA 564-F:21-2101","heading":"Activities in This State.","body":"(a) A foreign foundation shall not engage in any registrable activity in this state until it registers with the secretary of state.\n(b) A registrable activity includes any activity that, if conducted by a foreign corporation, would constitute the corporation's transacting business in this state.\n(c) Activities that are not registrable activities include:\n(1) Maintaining, defending, or settling any judicial proceeding;\n(2) Holding meetings of the board of directors or carrying on other activities concerning the foundation's internal affairs;\n(3) Maintaining one or more bank accounts;\n(4) Creating or acquiring indebtedness, mortgages, and security interests in real or personal property;\n(5) Securing or collecting debts or enforcing mortgages and security interests in property securing the debts;\n(6) Without more, owning any real or personal property located in this state;\n(7) Conducting an isolated transaction that:\n(A) Is completed within 30 days; and\n(B) Is not a single transaction in the course of repeated transactions of a like nature;\n(8) Transacting any activity in interstate commerce; and\n(9) Any activity that, if conducted by a foreign corporation, would not constitute the corporation's transacting business in this state.","path":["Title LVI: PROBATE COURTS AND DECEDENTS' ESTATES","Chapter ARTICLE 21: Foreign Foundations"],"source_url":"https://gc.nh.gov/rsa/html/LVI/564-F/564-F-21-2101.htm","current_through":"2025 regular legislative session, or December 2025","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:08:19Z","sha256":"1f98af230d1e85cee8492faf34138beeb81b99891c044e0bfdc051f2b5306a0f","source_id":"us-nh","stale":false,"prev":"us-nh/rsa-564-f-20-2013","next":"us-nh/rsa-564-f-21-2102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
