{"data":{"id":"us-nh/rsa-564-f-5-507","jurisdiction":"us-nh","citation":"RSA 564-F:5-507","heading":"Service on a Foundation.","body":"(a) A foundation's registered agent is the foundation's agent for service of process, notice, or demand required or permitted by law to be served on the foundation.\n(b) A foundation may be served by registered mail or certified mail if:\n(1) The foundation does not have a registered agent; or\n(2) After reasonable diligence, the foundation's registered agent cannot be served.\n(c) Service under subsection (b) shall be effective if:\n(1) It is correctly addressed to the foundation at the foundation's principal office;\n(2) Postage is prepaid; and\n(3) It is sent return receipt requested.\n(d) Service under subsection (b) is perfected at the earliest of:\n(1) The date on which the foundation receives the documents sent by registered mail or certified mail;\n(2) If a person signs the return receipt on the foundation's behalf, the date of receipt shown on the return receipt; or\n(3) Five days after its deposit for mailing with the United States Postal Service, as evidenced by the postmark.\n(e) This section does not preclude other means of serving a foundation.","path":["Title LVI: PROBATE COURTS AND DECEDENTS' ESTATES","Chapter ARTICLE 5: Registered Agent and Registered Office"],"source_url":"https://gc.nh.gov/rsa/html/LVI/564-F/564-F-5-507.htm","current_through":"2025 regular legislative session, or December 2025","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:08:19Z","sha256":"63229ad5843fab6d7152b75971d3e5669d88ca3d1426479c2fd5aa47613a05df","source_id":"us-nh","stale":false,"prev":"us-nh/rsa-564-f-5-506","next":"us-nh/rsa-564-f-6-601"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
