Stat. § 13:17-88","heading":"Definitions relative to Meadowlands Conservation Trust.","body":"2.\tAs used in this act:\n\"Board\" means the board of trustees of the Meadowlands Conservation Trust established pursuant to section 4 of P.L.1999, c.31 (C.13:17-90);\n\"Convey\" means to sell, transfer, lease, or donate land;\n\"Governmental entity\" means the federal government, the State, a bi-state agency, a county, or a municipality, or any political subdivision, department, authority, board, bureau, commission, or agency thereof; an independent authority; Rutgers, The State University, or any other public institution of higher education in the State; or the Hackensack Meadowlands Development Commission established pursuant to section 5 of P.L.1968, c.404 (C.13:17-5);\n\"Hackensack meadowlands\" means the same as that term is defined pursuant to section 3 of P.L.1968, c.404 (C.13:17-3);\n\"Land\" or \"lands\" means real property, including improvements thereof or thereon, rights-of-way, water, riparian and other rights, easements, and privileges, and all other rights or interests of any kind or description in, relating to, or connected with real property; and\n\"Trust\" means the Meadowlands Conservation Trust created pursuant to section 3 of P.L.1999, c.31 (C.13:17-89).\nL.1999,c.31,s.2.","path":["TITLE 13 CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT--PARKS AND RESERVATIONS"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"30dadf70e92cea70592c2cb594730a9e6f285430c3e4340d9ba8f34631467d6d","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-13-17-87","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-13-17-89"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
