Stat. § 13:1L-8.4","heading":"Powers, functions, New Jersey State Parks and Open Space Foundation.","body":"4.\tThe New Jersey State Parks and Open Space Foundation shall have the power:\na.\tto sue and be sued in its own name;\nb.\tto adopt a seal and alter the same at pleasure;\nc.\tto adopt bylaws for the regulation of its affairs and the conduct of its business;\nd.\tto maintain an office or offices at such a place or places within the State as it may designate;\ne.\tto appoint such officers, who need not be members of the foundation, in addition to a secretary and a treasurer, as the foundation deems advisable, and to employ such other employees and agents as may be necessary or desirable in its judgment, to fix their compensation, and to promote and discharge such officers, employees and agents, all without regard to the provisions of Title 11, Civil Service, of the Revised Statutes;\nf.\tto apply for and accept any grant of money from the federal government, which might be or may become available for programs in furtherance of its statutory goals, to subscribe to and comply with any rule or regulation made by the federal government with respect to the application of such a grant, and to enter into and perform any contract or agreement with respect to the application of such a grant;\ng.\tto make, enter into, and perform all contracts and agreements necessary or incidental to the performance of its duties and the execution of its powers under this act;\nh.\tto cooperate with and assist, insofar as practicable, any agency of the State or any of its political subdivisions, and any private agency or person in furtherance of the purposes of the foundation; and\ni.\tto do all acts and things necessary or convenient to carry out the powers expressly granted in this act.\nL.2023, c.256, s.4.","path":["TITLE 13 CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT--PARKS AND RESERVATIONS"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"8b73134e48c71413cb0e091359e8ce77a5c3b6c117367d7735453f7f4cd93e8b","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-13-1l-8.3","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-13-1l-8.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
