Stat. § 18A:13-47.1","heading":"Definitions.","body":"1.\tAs used in sections 2 through 8 of P.L.2021, c.402 (C.18A:13-47.2 through C.18A:13-47.8):\n\"Board of education\" means and includes the board of education of a local school district, consolidated school district, non-operating school district, and the board of education of a limited purpose or all purpose regional district.\n\"Division\" means the Division of Local Government Services in the Department of Community Affairs.\n\"Governing body\" means and includes, in the event that a school district enumerated herein does not have a board of education, the governing body of a local school district, a municipality constituting part of a consolidated school district, and the governing body of a municipality constituting a constituent district of a limited purpose or all purpose regional district.\n\"Participating district\" means a school district whose board of education or governing body, as applicable, by resolution certifies a commitment to participate in a feasibility study submitted as part of an application under the grant program established pursuant to section 2 of P.L.2021, c.402 (C.18A:13-47.2).\n\"School district\" means and includes a local school district, consolidated school district, non-operating school district, a constituent school district, and a limited purpose or all purpose regional district.\nL.2021, c.402, s.1.","path":["TITLE 18A EDUCATION"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"fa493443b1e8251a235a38acab989b7ea38cad8697f7fbaa2cbd7090ff103a3e","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-18a-13-47","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-18a-13-47.2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
