Stat. § 18A:33-8.1","heading":"Definitions.","body":"1.\tAs used in this act:\n\"Drinking fountain\" means a plumbing fixture that is connected to the potable water distribution system and drainage system that allows a user to obtain a drink directly from a stream of flowing water without the use of any accessory.\n\"Filtered bottle-filling station\" or \"station\" means an apparatus that:\nis connected to customer site piping;\nfilters water and is certified to meet NSF/ANSI standard 53 for lead reduction and NSF/ANSI standard 42 for particulate removal;\nhas a flow rate through the station that is paired to the specified flow rate of the filter cartridge;\nhas a light or other device to indicate filter cartridge replacement status;\nis designed to fill drinking bottles or other containers for personal water consumption; and\nincludes a drinking fountain.\n\"Filtered faucet\" means a faucet that at the point of use includes a filter that is certified to meet NSF/ANSI standard 53 for lead reduction and NSF/ANSI standard 42 for particulate removal.\nL.2025, c.76, s.1.","path":["TITLE 18A EDUCATION"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"ed567bf92d33c3d3e78ab18b6891f2d0b2558da23a04e832dd4e6e980e03e71b","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-18a-33-8","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-18a-33-8.2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
