Stat. § 18A:54-44","heading":"Components of Work and Learn Consortium.","body":"3.\tA Work and Learn Consortium shall include the following components:\na.\tThe county vocational school district shall award the high school diploma, provide training, and award early certificates.\nb.\tThe county college shall:\n(1)\taward certificates and the associate degree;\n(2)\tcoordinate the program's internship component;\n(3)\tdevelop the guided pathway;\n(4)\tprovide student advising services and student support services; and\n(5)\taward prior learning assessment credits for experience and knowledge acquired while working.\nc.\tThe local workforce investment board shall:\n(1)\tidentify business and industries that have a workforce demand; and\n(2)\tassist in the recruitment of persons who are unemployed or want to change career.\nThe local workforce investment board shall have a satellite location on the county college campus.\nd.\tA Work and Learn Consortium shall work to form partnerships with:\n(1)\tfour-year public or independent institutions of higher education to provide additional certificates and baccalaureate degrees under the stackable credentials program;\n(2)\tthe local chamber of commerce in order to identify business and industry partners and to market and promote the consortium; and\n(3)\tbusiness and industry in order to identify industry trends and required certifications, credentials, and training, and to provide internships to enrolled students.\ne.\tThere shall be an advisory board for each Work and Learn Consortium program.
