Stat. § 18A:61D-18","heading":"Construction of act.","body":"8.\tNothing in this act shall be construed to:\na.\tpermit a trained designee to perform the duties or fill the position of a licensed medical professional;\nb.\tprohibit the administration of a pre-filled epinephrine auto-injector mechanism by a person acting pursuant to a lawful prescription;\nc.\tprevent a licensed and qualified member of a health care profession from administering a pre-filled epinephrine auto-injector mechanism if the duties are consistent with the accepted standards of the member's profession; or\nd.\tviolate the \"Athletic Training Licensure Act,\" P.L.1984, c.203 (C.45:9-37.35 et seq.) in the event that a licensed athletic trainer administers epinephrine to a member of the campus community as a trained designee pursuant to this act.\nL.2013, c.211, s.8.","path":["TITLE 18A EDUCATION"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"6e9842bb14b96e14a7452319f4e2979807ab2c21b2e258c11b1399da1990b15f","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-18a-61d-17","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-18a-61d-19"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
