Stat. § 19:61-3","heading":"Federal Elections Assistance Fund.","body":"3.\tThere is hereby established in the Department of the Treasury a special, nonlapsing fund to be known as the Federal Elections Assistance Fund.\nThe fund is established in accordance with paragraph (b) of section 254 of Pub.L.107-252, (42 U.S.C.15404) for the purpose of receiving:\na.\tall moneys appropriated or otherwise made available by the State for the purpose of carrying out the activities required by Pub.L.107-252;\nb.\tall payments which will be received from the federal government pursuant to Pub.L.107-252;\nc.\tinterest earned on deposits made in the fund; and\nd.\tsuch other additional amounts as may be appropriated under federal or State law.\nThe State Treasurer is authorized to transfer into the fund in a timely manner such State moneys as will be necessary to insure that the State qualifies for the maximum amount of federal funds appropriated to implement Pub.L.107-252.\nL.2004,c.88,s.3.","path":["TITLE 19 ELECTIONS"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"a9480266c4935eb1b0bc3275309e290922553b2706608d95fccdc5c7e329a96f","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-19-61-2","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-19-61-4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
