All facilities used for wholesale prescription drug distribution shall:\na.\tbe of suitable construction to ensure that all prescription drugs in the facilities are maintained in accordance with their labeling or  official compendium standards;\nb.\tbe of suitable size and construction to facilitate cleaning, maintenance and proper wholesale distribution operations;\nc.\thave adequate storage, lighting, ventilation, temperature, sanitation, humidity, space, equipment and security conditions;\nd.\thave a quarantine area for prescription drugs that are adulterated, counterfeit or suspected of being counterfeit, or otherwise unfit for distribution;\ne.\tbe maintained in a clean and orderly condition and free from infestation;\nf.\tbe secure from unauthorized entry, with the outside perimeter of the premises well-lighted and entry into areas where prescription drugs are held limited to authorized personnel;\ng.\tbe equipped with security and inventory management and control systems that provide suitable protection against theft, diversion or counterfeiting, and can readily provide data to the department; and\nh.\tbe a commercial location and not a personal dwelling or residence.\nL.2005,c.206,s.11.","path":["TITLE 24 FOOD AND DRUGS"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"5940d046787e0dac8edba69f019f69f34e65d379398e83f8ec93653ac142bf25","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-24-6b-19","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-24-6b-21"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
