If, in the medical opinion of the attending physician or the consulting physician, a patient requesting medication that the patient may choose to self-administer pursuant to P.L.2019, c.59 (C.26:16-1 et al.) may not be capable, the physician shall refer the patient to a mental health care professional to determine whether the patient is capable.
