Stat. § 26:2-137.1","heading":"Specifications for lead screening of children, immunizations.","body":"7.\tThe Department of Health shall specify by regulation, pursuant to the \"Administrative Procedure Act,\" P.L.1968, c.410 (C.52:14B-1 et seq.):\na.\tThe lead screening requirements provided for under P.L.1995, c.316 (C.17:48E-35.10 et al.), including the age of the child when initial screening should be conducted, the time intervals between screening, when follow-up testing is required, the methods that shall be used to conduct the lead screening, and, in accordance with the latest recommendations of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the provisions of P.L.1995, c.328 (C.26:2-137.2 et seq.), the level of lead in the bloodstream that shall necessitate the undertaking of responsive action; and\nb.\tThe childhood immunizations recommended by the  Department of Health, which shall consider the recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the federal Department of Health and Human Services and, as appropriate, the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the American College of Physicians.\nL.1995, c.316, s.7; amended 2017, c.7, s.2; 2025, c.283, s.14.","path":["TITLE 26 HEALTH AND VITAL STATISTICS"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"85e6673f5a2bb00eb9317e21e0bb54baddebf05340afbf287a4205a7ff0447f4","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-26-2-137","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-26-2-137.2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
