Stat. § 26:2H-18.55a","heading":"Compilation of information relative to employed recipients of charity care.","body":"2. a. The Commissioner of Health shall compile, to the extent data are available, the following information about recipients of charity care who are employed:\n(1)\tthe employer's name and address;\n(2)\tthe number of recipients of charity care who are employed by the employer; and\n(3)\tthe cost to the State of providing charity care for the employer's employees and their dependents.\nb.\tIn order to compile the information required pursuant to this section, the commissioner may require hospitals and other health care facilities to submit such information as may be necessary for this purpose.\nc.\tThe commissioner may include comparable information about recipients of other public health care coverage programs, and other information as the commissioner deems appropriate regarding employer-based coverage for persons covered under public insurance programs.\nd.\tThe information compiled by the commissioner shall not include the name of any charity care recipient or any family member of a recipient.\ne.\tThe commissioner shall provide the information required pursuant to this section to the Commissioner of Human Services for inclusion in the annual report on Access to Employer-Based Health Insurance, as provided in section 1 of P.L.2006, c.87 (C.30:4J-17).\nL.2006, c.87, s.2; amended 2012, c.17, s.221.","path":["TITLE 26 HEALTH AND VITAL STATISTICS"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"f5e455f391d8da65ff07f50ad056e3a57b40658332f70f69576675703d2ad938","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-26-2h-18.55","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-26-2h-18.57"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
