Stat. § 26:2S-20","heading":"Definitions relative to Managed Health Care Consumer Assistance Program.","body":"2.\tAs used in this act:\n\"Carrier\" means a carrier as defined in section 2 of P.L.1997, c.192 (C.26:2S-2).\n\"Commissioner\" means the Commissioner of Banking and Insurance.\n\"Department\" means the Department of Banking and Insurance.\n\"Managed care plan\" means a managed care plan as defined in section 2 of P.L.1997, c.192 (C.26:2S-2).\n\"Medicaid\" means the Medicaid program established pursuant to P.L.1968, c.413 (C.30:4D-1 et seq.).\n\"Medicare\" means the federal Medicare program established pursuant to the federal Social Security Act, Pub.L.89-97 (42 U.S.C. s.1395 et seq.).\n\"NJ FamilyCare\" means the FamilyCare Health Coverage Program established pursuant to P.L.2005, c.156 (C.30:4J-8 et al.).\n\"Program\" means the Managed Health Care Consumer Assistance Program established pursuant to this act.\nL.2001, c.14, s.2; amended 2012, c.17, s.302.","path":["TITLE 26 HEALTH AND VITAL STATISTICS"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"d30e54c4e63528c0859759e7ef7537c9980e70fa3263936ddea8aa0bd8ee96f7","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-26-2s-19","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-26-2s-21"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
