The Commissioner of Human Services shall develop a plan for establishing and funding regional substance use disorder treatment facilities.  The plan shall include a strategy for soliciting proposals from nonprofit agencies and organizations in the State, including State-licensed health care facilities, with experience in the provision of long-term care or outpatient substance use disorder treatment services to meet the post-acute health, social, and educational needs of persons living with HIV/AIDS.\nb.\tThe commissioner shall submit the plan to the Governor and, pursuant to section 2 of P.L.1991, c.164 (C.52:14-19.1), the Legislature no later than the 120th day after the effective date of this act, and shall report biannually thereafter to the Governor and, pursuant to section 2 of P.L.1991, c.164 (C.52:14-19.1), the Legislature on the implementation of the plan.\nL.2006, c.99, s.6; amended 2023, c.177, s.88.","path":["TITLE 26 HEALTH AND VITAL STATISTICS"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"fc1a2a5ab061d7fea6106924a9607d1fbe137c84fe0111469f1f9f922f107cc3","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-26-5c-29","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-26-5c-31"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
