Stat. § 2A:166A-1","heading":"Maximum amount of reimbursement","body":"Any county which incurs expense in connection with the prosecution and defense of a defendant charged with commission of a capital offense while confined to a State penal or correctional institution located in the county shall be entitled to reimbursement therefor by the State in amounts not to exceed the following:\na.  $500.00 for any case, whether or not the same is brought to trial, plus\nb.  $750.00 for each trial day, plus\nc.
