Stat. § 2A:32C-18","heading":"Report to Legislature.","body":"4.\tOn the 30th day after the effective date of P.L.2009, c.265 (C.2A:32C-18 et al.) and annually on the anniversary of the effective date of P.L.2009, c.265 (C.2A:32C-18 et al.), the Attorney General, pursuant to section 2 of P.L.1991, c.164 (C.52:14-19.1), shall submit to the Legislature, a report containing the following information:\na.\tThe number of cases the Attorney General filed during the previous calendar year under the \"New Jersey False Claims Act,\" P.L.2007, c.265 (C.2A:32C-1 et seq.);\nb.\tThe number of cases private individuals filed under the \"New Jersey False Claims Act,\" P.L.2007, c.265 (C.2A:32C-1 et seq.) during the previous calendar year, including those cases that remain under seal, and specifying for those cases no longer under seal:\n(1)\tthe State or federal courts in which those cases were filed and the number in each court;\n(2)\tthe State program or agency that is involved in each case; and\n(3)\twhere the information is available, the number of cases filed by private individuals who previously had filed an action based on the same or similar transactions or allegations under the federal False Claims Act or the False Claims Act of another state;\nc.\tThe amount that was recovered by the State under the \"New Jersey False Claims Act,\" P.L.2007, c.265 (C.2A:32C-1 et seq.) in settlement, in damages, penalties, and litigation costs, if known, and specifying for each the following:\n(1)\tthe case number and parties for each case in which there was a recovery;\n(2)\tthe separate amounts of any funds recovered for damages, penalties, and litigation costs; and\n(3)\tthe percentage of the recovery and the amount awarded to any private person who brought the action.\nL.2009, c.265, s.4.","path":["TITLE 2A ADMINISTRATION OF CIVIL AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"fe6ec7179d679fd2a33a40023484d8f271ee4c5158e6ac1c1ee1f5e98706993c","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-2a-32c-17","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-2a-33-1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
