Stat. § 2A:4-30.128","heading":"Application of act to resident of foreign country and foreign support proceeding.","body":"5.\tApplication of act to resident of foreign country and foreign support proceeding.\na.\tA tribunal of this State shall apply Articles 1 through 6 of this act and, as applicable, Article 7 of this act, to a support proceeding involving:\n(1)\ta foreign support order;\n(2)\ta foreign tribunal; or\n(3)\tan obligee, obligor, or child residing in a foreign country.\nb.\tA tribunal of this State that is requested to recognize and enforce a support order on the basis of comity may apply the procedural and substantive provisions of Articles 1 through 6 of this act.\nc.\tArticle 7 applies only to a support proceeding under the Convention.
