After the Director of the MSU advises the court that the individual may be admitted to the facility, in accordance with the provisions of subsection c. of section 3 of this act, the court may order the individual:\n(1)\tto be housed at and participate in the program at the MSU as a condition of probation;\n(2)\tto be housed at and participate in the program at the MSU until disposition of pending criminal charges against the individual; or\n(3)\tto be housed at and participate in the program at the MSU, and to be committed to the custody of the Commissioner of Human Services, in accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.2C:4-6, if the court finds that the individual is unfit to proceed.\nb.\tThe Director of the MSU shall notify the individual's legal guardian and his legal representative, if applicable, of the date of admission to the MSU.\nL.2006,c.5,s.4.","path":["TITLE 30 INSTITUTIONS AND AGENCIES"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"5853c1972674f0a2f9157b5510f4f460459c69251b5221ac3017af7359c56d67","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-30-4-25.15","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-30-4-25.17"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
