Stat. § 34:1-60","heading":"Subdivisions of employment bureau","body":"The department is authorized to establish such subdivisions of the bureau of  employment as he may deem advisable for the following purposes:\nTo bring together employers seeking employees and working people seeking employment;\nTo supply information as to opportunities for securing employment in this state and the character of the work to be performed;\nTo supply such information as may enable persons to secure industrial and agricultural training and employment;\nTo investigate the extent and causes of unemployment in the state and as far  as possible suggest remedies therefor;\nTo adopt the most efficient means to avoid unemployment;\nTo provide employment and to prevent distress from involuntary idleness;\nTo keep a record of all labor disturbances and strikes.","path":["TITLE 34 LABOR AND WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"60087f09fcd44c2916af6a8914860358a3007694e87fe5dc610d734a88c6caac","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-34-1-59","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-34-1-61"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
