Stat. § 34:15C-10","heading":"Private career school entrance into school-to-school teach-out agreement.","body":"16. a. A private career school shall enter into a school-to-school teach-out agreement at least 120 days prior to the cessation of school operations.\nb.\tIn order to satisfy the requirements of this section, a school-to-school teach-out agreement shall:\n(1)\tbe arranged by the closing private career school;\n(2)\tbe agreed to by an eligible transfer institution, the closing private career school, and the commissioner; and\n(3)\tunless waived for good cause by the commissioner, specify that the eligible transfer institution shall:\n(a)\tbe located within a reasonable distance of the closing school, if the closing school has a physical presence in the State;\n(b)\taccept the transfer of all completed credits from students affected by the closure; and\n(c)\tallow a student affected by the closure to complete the student's program with substantially the same number of credit hours as was required by the closing school; and\n(4)\tnot charge a student tuition or fees in excess of the lesser of:\n(a)\tthe remaining amount that a student affected by the closure would have paid to the closing school to complete the program; or\n(b)\tthe transfer institution's applicable tuition and fees; and\n(5)\tspecify that, on request by a student affected by the closure, the closing school shall provide a complete academic record and an official transcript to the student at no cost to the student.\nL.2021, c.27, s.16.","path":["TITLE 34 LABOR AND WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"73e5c8f7aeeaf461b8bba3637843bfee1937aab78ad1b0b6ab3bead05f82fd93","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-34-15c-10.4","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-34-15c-10.6"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
