Stat. § 34:15D-28","heading":"Findings, declarations relative to the Talent Network Program.","body":"1.\tThe Legislature finds and declares that:\na.\tTo maintain a competitive edge in the 21st century, New Jersey must develop a highly productive workforce that has the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed by employers in the State's key industries;\nb.\tWorkforce development and education programs that are directly aligned with the needs of employers will ensure that more New Jersey residents have pathways to economic opportunity and successful careers, and that employers receive the talent required to drive the growth of their businesses;\nc.\tTo cultivate such employer-driven partnerships, the Department of Labor and Workforce Development has supported the development of talent networks since 2011;\nd.\tThe department currently funds nine talent networks of employers, educational institutions, and workforce development organizations in industries including advanced manufacturing; construction \u0026 utilities; financial services; food industry; health care; life sciences; technology; transportation, logistics, and distribution; and retail, hospitality, and tourism; and\ne.\tThe establishment of a Talent Network Program will create a permanent plan within the department to strengthen and enhance these and future partnerships in meeting the workforce needs of the State.\nL.2019, c.125, s.1.","path":["TITLE 34 LABOR AND WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"d4cd3ff040932e443ef4d45171f7f59e2131260dba257dbe4b6d8564c63f235b","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-34-15d-27","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-34-15d-29"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
