Stat. § 34:1B-166","heading":"Definitions relative to local-State business incentive promotion.","body":"2.\tAs used in this act:\n\"Act\" means the \"Local-State Business Incentive Promotion Act.\"\n\"Applicant\" means any business within a county or municipality applying for a loan pursuant to this act.\n\"Authority\" means the New Jersey Economic Development Authority established pursuant to section 4 of P.L.1974, c.80 (C.34:1B-4).\n\"Business\" means a corporation; sole proprietorship; partnership; corporation that has made an election under Subchapter S of Chapter One of Subtitle A of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, or any other business entity through which income flows as a distributive share to its owners; limited liability company; nonprofit corporation; or any other form of business organization located either within or outside this State.\n\"Loan\" means money loaned to a business by the authority for the purpose of retaining existing business or attracting new business to a county or municipality pursuant to this act.\n\"Program\" means the Local-State Business Incentive Promotion Program established pursuant to section 3 of this act.\nL.1998,c.94,s.2.","path":["TITLE 34 LABOR AND WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"9915d2f4f75bfe4744e674143eed7d8f326a2b070976cfd8d29fb042766f36f6","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-34-1b-165","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-34-1b-167"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
