Stat. § 34:4A-13","heading":"Discharge or discrimination against employee due to actions to help enforce this act;  penalties","body":"Any operator who discharges or in any other manner discriminates against any  employee because such employee has made any complaint to the commissioner regarding a violation of this act or any rule or regulation promulgated hereunder, or because such employee has caused to be instituted or is about to cause to be instituted any proceeding under or related to this act or any rule or regulation promulgated hereunder, or because such employee has testified or is about to testify in any such proceeding, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall, upon conviction therefor, be fined not less than $50.00 nor more than $200.00.  Such operator shall be required, as a condition of such judgment  of conviction, to offer reinstatement in employment to any such discharged  employee and to correct any such discriminatory action, and also to pay to any  such employee, in full, all wages lost as a result of such discharge or  discriminatory action.\nL.1975, c. 226, s. 13, eff.
