Stat. § 34:6-129","heading":"Separate living quarters;  toilets","body":"The commissioner may, when he deems it necessary, require that any and all rooms to which this article applies, shall be separate from and have no door, window or other opening into any living or sleeping room.  He may further require or direct a separate outside entrance to the rooms where the work is carried on, and if such work is carried on above the first floor, he may direct  that a separate and distinct stairway leading thereto be constructed and every  such room shall be well and sufficiently heated and ventilated by ordinary, or,  if necessary, by mechanical appliances.
