Stat. § 39:6-38","heading":"Partial payments which are deemed satisfaction of judgment","body":"For the purposes of sections 9 to 14 of this act when:\n(a) $10,000.00 has been credited upon any judgment or judgments rendered in  excess of that amount for bodily injury to or the death of 1 person as the result of 1 accident;\n(b) Subject to the limit of $10,000.00 for 1 person so injured or killed, the sum of $20,000.00 has been credited upon any judgment or judgments rendered  in excess of that amount for bodily injury to or the death of more than 1  person as the result of 1 accident;  or\n(c) $5,000.00 has been credited upon any judgment or judgments rendered in excess of that amount for damage to property as the result of 1 accident--\nSuch payment or payments shall be deemed a satisfaction of the judgment or judgments.\nL.1952, c. 173, p. 559, s. 16.
