Stat. § 4:10-53","heading":"Compensation;  powers and duties","body":"No member of any such council shall receive a salary but each shall be entitled to reimbursement of expenses incurred in the performance of official duties.  The secretary may authorize the council to enter into contracts or agreements;  to employ necessary personnel;  to fix their compensation and terms of employment;  and to incur such expenses as may be necessary for the proper administration of the marketing program.  Subject to the approval of the  secretary, the council may:\n(a) Administer the marketing program;\n(b) Recommend amendments to the marketing program;\n(c) Recommend rules and regulations relating to the marketing program;\n(d) Assist in the assessment and collection of funds to cover expenses incurred in the administration of the marketing program;\n(e) Assist in the collection of such information and data as the secretary may deem necessary;  and\n(f) Receive and report complaints of violations of the marketing program.\nL.1971, c. 308, s. 11, eff.
