Stat. § 40:24-7","heading":"Conviction;  penalty;  imprisonment on default of fine.","body":"The court before which any violator of any such resolution is convicted may  impose any fine or term of imprisonment not exceeding the maximum fixed in the  resolution.  In default of the payment of the fine imposed thereunder, a person  convicted of a violation of any such resolution may, in the discretion of the  court in which he was convicted, be imprisoned in the county jail for a term  not exceeding ninety days.\nAmended by L.1953, c. 37, p. 643, s. 44, eff.
