In any case in which the department reports on the incomes of public benefit participants, the department shall compare participant incomes to their local county NJ Elder Index.\nb.\tThe department shall refer to the NJ Elder Index and related data when:\n(1)\tmaking recommendations for funding to the Governor and the Legislature;\n(2)\testablishing public benefit income eligibility limits;\n(3)\tcalculating the change in economic security levels in order to benchmark the impact of public benefit programs for seniors;\n(4)\tdesigning public outreach programs; and\n(5)\tevaluating case management initiatives that capture the incomes of public benefit program participants and track the impact of the resulting economic security benefit for these participants.\nL.2015, c.53, s.3.","path":["TITLE 44 POOR"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"7dbe277f36ca75c95491c7a09c00b1aeb818598c33dfc3a87a3bf60b24969069","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-44-15-2","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-44-15-4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
