Stat. § 45:14A-10","heading":"Qualifications for training certificate","body":"The following shall be considered as minimum evidence satisfactory to the board that an applicant is qualified for a certificate of registration as a planner-in-training.\n(a) The applicant for certificate of registration as planner-in-training shall:\n(1) Be of good moral character;\n(2) Be a citizen of the United States or have declared his intention to become a citizen of the United States;\n(3) Pass the required examinations.\n(b) The applicant for certificate of registration as planner-in-training shall present the following minimum qualifications:\n(1) Graduation in an approved course in planning of 4 years or more from a school or college approved by the board, and a passing grade, as determined by the board, upon a qualifying written examination in the fundamental professional planning subjects;  or\n(2) A specific record of 4 years or more of active practice in planning work  of a character satisfactory to the board, and a passing grade, as determined by  the board, upon a qualifying written examination in the fundamental  professional planning subjects.\nAny person having the necessary qualifications prescribed in this act to entitle him to a certificate of registration as a planner-in-training shall be eligible for such license even though he may not be practicing his profession at the time of making application.\nL.1962, c. 109, s. 10.","path":["TITLE 45 PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"63565e0d4303bd19032bcdd49a6d5d007d363eec6b4ca483230f20a7c3d6338b","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-45-14a-9.1","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-45-14a-11"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
