The board shall license as a respiratory care practitioner any applicant whom the board determines to be qualified to perform the duties of a respiratory care practitioner.  In making a determination, the board shall require evidence that the applicant has successfully completed a respiratory care training program which meets the board's approval and that he successfully completes an examination prescribed by the board.
