Stat. § 45:14G-7","heading":"Duties of board.","body":"7.\tThe board shall:\na.\tEstablish criteria and standards for licensure at least commensurate with national accreditation standards adopted by the Association of Polysomnographic Technologists or the American Academy of Sleep Medicine or the Committee on Accreditation for Polysomnography;\nb.\tReview the qualification of applicants for licensure;\nc.\tInsure proper conduct and standards of practice;\nd.\tIssue and renew licenses pursuant to this act;\ne.\tEstablish standards for continuing education;\nf.\tSuspend, revoke or decline to renew licenses of polysomnographic technologists, technicians and trainees pursuant to the provisions of P.L.1978, c.73 (C.45:1-14 et seq.);\ng.\tMaintain a record of every polysomnographic technologist, technician and trainee licensed in this State;\nh.\tPromulgate rules and regulations pursuant to the \"Administrative Procedure Act,\" P.L.1968, c.410 (C.52:14B-1 et seq.), to carry out the provisions of this act, except that the initial rules and regulations may be promulgated by the director; and\ni.\tEstablish fees for applications for licensure, examinations, initial licensure, renewals, late renewals, temporary licenses, provisional licenses and for duplication of lost licenses, pursuant to section 2 of P.L.1974, c.46 (C.45:1-3.2).\nL.2005,c.244,s.7.","path":["TITLE 45 PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"20a71f2686e4f43f967be5fc3eb69ad2ecd0070a48615df8e05db2895ea0e047","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-45-14g-6","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-45-14g-8"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
