Stat. § 45:16A-30","heading":"Powers, duties of board.","body":"3.\tNotwithstanding any law, rule, or regulation to the contrary, the board shall have the following powers and duties, or may delegate them to the committee:\na.\tset standards and approve certifications for applicants for a master hearth specialist license, and issue a license to each qualified applicant;\nb.\tdetermine the form and contents of applications for licensure, issuance of license, and identification cards;\nc.\tadopt a code of ethics for licensed master hearth specialists;\nd.\tissue and renew licenses and identification cards;\ne.\tset the amount of fees for master hearth specialist licenses, license renewals applications, examinations, and other services provided by the committee within the limits provided in subsection b. of section 8 of P.L.2019, c.260 (C.45:16A-35);\nf.\trefuse to issue or suspend, revoke, or fail to renew the license of a master hearth specialist pursuant to the provisions of P.L.1978, c.73 (C.45:1-14 et seq.);\ng.\tmaintain a record of all applicants for a license;\nh.\tmaintain and annually publish a record of the name, place of business, and license date and number for every licensed master hearth specialist;\ni.\ttake disciplinary action in accordance with P.L.1978, c.73 (C.45:1-14 et seq.) against a licensed master hearth specialist who violates any provision of this act or any rule or regulation promulgated pursuant to P.L.2019, c.260 (C.45:16A-29 et al.);\nj.\tadopt standards and requirements for and approve continuing education programs and courses of study for master hearth specialists and their employees;\nk.\treview advertising by licensed master hearth specialists; and\nl.\tperform other duties as may be necessary to effectuate the purposes of P.L.2019, c.260 (C.45:16A-29 et al.).\nL.2019, c.260, s.3.","path":["TITLE 45 PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"052fd5c0609496c374956f02d5d68b03f463c7a06d178597151825e583299c6c","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-45-16a-29","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-45-16a-31"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
