Stat. § 45:16B-7","heading":"Duties of board.","body":"7.\tThe board shall:\n(1)\treview the qualifications of applicants for licensure;\n(2)\tadopt a code of ethics;\n(3)\tensure the proper conduct and standards of examinations;\n(4)\tissue and renew biennial licenses for dietitian nutritionists and nutritionists pursuant to P.L.2019, c.331 (C.45:16B-1 et al.);\n(5)\trefuse to admit a person to an examination or refuse to issue or suspend, revoke, or fail to renew the license of a dietitian nutritionist or nutritionist pursuant to the provisions of P.L.1978, c.73 (C.45:1-14 et seq.);\n(6)\tmaintain a record of every licensed dietitian nutritionist and licensed nutritionist licensed in this State, their place of business, place of residence, and the date and number of their license, and publish a list of the names and addresses of all licensees annually;\n(7)\tprescribe or change the charges for examinations, licenses, renewals, and other services it performs pursuant to P.L.1974, c.46 (C.45:1-3.1 et seq.), and set the passing score on any examination it adopts as a licensure examination;\n(8)\testablish rules and regulations with respect to continuing education requirements. The board shall at a minimum accept as valid any continuing education approved by the American Clinical Board of Nutrition, the Board for Certification of Nutrition Specialists, and the Commission on Dietetic Registration; and\n(9)\tadopt and promulgate rules and regulations pursuant to the \"Administrative Procedure Act,\" P.L.1968, c.410 (C.52:14B-1 et seq.) necessary to effectuate the purposes of P.L.2019, c.331 (C.45:16B-1 et al.).\nL.2019, c.331, s.7.","path":["TITLE 45 PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"932979d3e68adcc78ac3b402815cf6402b36e5d1fa9bccd831fb3d82de8bd665","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-45-16b-6","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-45-16b-8"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
