Stat. § 45:9-37.115","heading":"Powers, duties of Genetic Counseling Advisory Committee.","body":"5.\tThe Genetic Counseling Advisory Committee shall have the following powers and duties:\na.\tEstablish criteria and standards for education and experience required for licensure;\nb.\tReview the qualifications of applicants for licensure;\nc.\tEnsure proper conduct and standards of practice;\nd.\tIssue and renew licenses pursuant to this act;\ne.\tEstablish standards for continuing education;\nf.\tMaintain a record of every genetic counselor licensed in this State;\ng.\tEstablish fees, pursuant to section 2 of P.L.1974, c.46 (C.45:1-3.2), for examinations, licenses, including applications for licensure, renewals, and duplications of lost licenses, and other services performed by the committee;\nh.\tSuspend, revoke or decline to renew the license of a genetic counselor pursuant to the provisions of P.L.1978, c.73 (C.45:1-14 et seq.); and\ni.\tPromulgate rules and regulations to carry out matters delegated to the committee by the board concerning any provisions of this act, in conformance with the \"Administrative Procedure Act,\" P.L.1968, c.410 (C.52:14B-1 et seq.).\nL.2009, c.41, s.5.","path":["TITLE 45 PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"c6da60b55c221f929852d8b62dba2daa5623171e07e41d6c6002536b0ca4bd20","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-45-9-37.114","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-45-9-37.116"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
