For a loan of property to a museum made on or after the effective date of this act, the museum shall, at the time of the loan:\n(1)\tmake and retain a written record containing:\nthe name, address, and telephone number of the lender,\na description of the property in sufficient detail for ready identification,\nthe beginning date of the loan, and\nthe expiration date of the loan;\n(2)\tprovide the lender with a signed receipt or agreement containing, at least, the information set forth in paragraph (1) of this subsection; and\n(3)\tinform the lender in writing of the existence of this act and provide the lender with a copy of this act upon the lender's request.\nb.\tWith respect to any property on loan to a museum, a museum shall:\n(1)\tupdate its record if a lender informs the museum of a change of address or change in the title to or interest in the property, or if the lender and museum negotiate a change in the duration of the loan; and\n(2)\tinform the lender in writing of the existence of this act when renewing or updating the record and provide the lender with a copy of this act upon the lender's request.\nL.2011, c.109, s.9.","path":["TITLE 46 PROPERTY"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"de9e954c0d431389975d04ecc7fd99dd14f39447a45be7e3ddbef901bf0b0cd4","source_id":"us-nj","stale":false,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-46-30d-8","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-46-30d-10"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
